      The Huron County Community Library has a lot of activities and events planned for the month of November.

     On Thursday, November 13 at 6 p.m. Women in History presents “Mary Todd Lincoln”.   Join us at our Willard Memorial Library community room for a live story telling performance about the life of Mary Todd Lincoln in her own words.

     Sign up is required for Pinterest Monday on November 10 at 6 p.m.  Join us at the Willard Library location to create a holiday themed wreath using a beaded frame and more.

     “Craft with the Library” at the Willard Enrichment Center is on Thursday, November 13 at 10 a.m.  Learn how to create 2 unique holiday cards with Melissa.

     Teens join us for Teen Time at our Willard Library community room on Thursday, November 6 

at 5 p.m. to make your own mini book.  On Thursday, November 20 at 5 p.m. come to the Willard Library annex to create your own Dream Catcher and learn some of the history behind them.

     Kids join Miss Char at the Willard Library on Tuesday, November 4 at 4:30 p.m. in the annex for “A Book to Start and Then. . .Art”.  Listen to a book and then do some painting on pre-printed canvas.  (While supplies last).     

     Come to the Willard Library annex, kids, on Thursday, November 13 at 4:30 p.m. to make some Bubble Wrap Slime.  (While supplies last).

     On Tuesday, November 18 at 4:30 p.m. kids are invited to the Willard Library community room for “Bring & Bling”.  Bring a favorite book or one you plan to give as a Christmas gift.  We will have all you need to add a little bling to make your book extra special.  We will be glitzing books with diamond art beads and glue.

     Kids make a unique resin fidget spinner on Tuesday, November 25 at 4:30 p.m. in the Willard Library annex.  (While supplies last).

     There will be NO Brick Bunch at the Willard Library Youth Department for November.

     Join Miss Mitzi for “Read to Me Storytime” on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 and Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. on November 5 & 6 the theme is “Time for a Cozy Blanket”, on November 12 & 13 the theme is “It Feels Great to Hibernate” and on November 19 and 20 the theme is “Run Turkey Run, Thanksgiving Fun”.

     Monday Reads meets in the Willard Library Community Room.  The group will get together on Monday, November 10 at 10 a.m. to discuss the book “No Two Persons” by Erica Bayermeister.

     Turn the Page Book Discussion, Willard’s evening book discussion will meet in the library community room on Thursday, November 20 at 6 p.m.  They will share their thoughts on “The Locked Doors” by Frieda McFadden.

     All adults are invited to join us at the Willard annex for the monthly Cookbook Club.  “Cook Up a Storm Cookbook Club” meets on the first Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.  On November 6 at 6 p.m. select and make a recipe to share from “The Chopped Cookbook” by the Food Network.

     Tech Thursdays with Jarrad is held every Thursday in the Willard Library computer lab at 5 p.m.  Just drop in with your questions.

     Don’t miss the opportunity to express your creativity through writing.  Whether you are a seasoned writer or just putting pen to paper, we would love to have you join our “Writers’ Group”.  The group is scheduled to meet on Thursday November 20 at 6 p.m.  For information contact Josh at jfigley@hurondolib.org. 

     Hey Kids! Drop in anytime between 3:30 and 6 p.m. on Thursdays at our Wakeman Branch for “Thursday Crafternoon”.  There will be lots of fun activities, crafts, and more.  Each week features something new.  This month come on November 6, 13, and 20.

     Storytime at our Wakeman Library is held on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m.  Join Cathy on November 7, 14, and 21 for stories, activities and more.

     Bring your little ones to the Wakeman Library for some fun play.  It’s a great way to meet other parents and for the little ones to have a play date.  “Pop-in and Play” will be held on November 5, 12, 19, and 26 at 10:30 a.m.

     Wakeman’s “Food for Thought Cookbook Club” will get together on Monday, November 3 at 6 p.m.  They will be using the cookbook “There’s Always Room at the Table” by Kaleb Wyse.

     Homeschool families and kids are invited to take part in Wakeman’s “Look What I Cooked Kids” Cookbook Club”.  Check a copy of this month’s selected cookbook, make a recipe, and bring it to our discussion to share with everyone.  Families will get together on Tuesday, November 4 at 12:30 and share a recipe from “Dinner Made Easy with Six Sisters’ Stuff” by Six Sisters.

     “Who Picked This Book?” Wakeman’s book club, will meet on Monday November 17 at 5:30 p.m.  They will be discussing “The Birth Order Book” by Dr. Kevin Lehman.

     Join PT Patty from Integrated Therapeutic Healing for Chair Yoga on Tuesday, November 4 & 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wakeman Library.

     The Laurels of New London invites you on Tuesday, November 25 at 10:30 a.m. to come to the Wakeman Library.  There will be a morning of fun and information just for seniors.

     Pinterest Monday will be held at the Wakeman Library on November 24 at 5:30 p.m.  Sign up is required to make a seasonal wreath.

     Chris will have songs, crafts, games, and more on Friday mornings at the Greenwich library.  Kids of all ages are welcome on November 14 at 11 a.m.

     Don’t forget to come to the Greenwich Library to pick up a weekly craft for kids.  Take it home to complete it. 

     On Thursday, November 6 at 11 a.m. the Greenwich Library’s Homeschool Group will enjoy a hands on presentation about Ohio animals.

     Celebrate “Children’s Book Week” Monday, November 3 – Saturday, November 8 at the Greenwich Library by doing a “Dogman Scavenger Hunt”.  With help from Dave Pilkey, we will be giving away a set of Dogman books. 

     Join us at the Greenwich Library every Wednesday afternoon between 3-5 p.m. for a fun activity.  On November 5 explore your creativity by making objects out of K’nex.  On November 12 come and make some beautiful designs using corn, paint, and paper.  On November 19 decorate your home by making a turkey out of a wooden circle and leaves.  On November 26 learn about our oceans through science experiments.

     “Sit n Stitch” meets every Monday at 10 a.m. at our North Fairfield Library location.  This group is for anyone who wants to bring whatever they are making and work with other like-minded makers to knit, crochet, crosss-stitch, rug hook, etc.  All are welcome to join.

     Come and join “PT Patty” at our North Fairfield Library on Wednesday, November 19 at 11 a.m.  PT Patty combines yoga practice and rehabilitative science in her chair yoga classes to help people with their therapeutic needs.

     Pinterest Craft Day at North Fairfield Library will be held on Friday, November 7 at 1 p.m.  Join Missy to learn how to create 2 unique holiday cards.   

     All Huron County Community Library locations will be closed November 11, and November 27 & 28.
