April - May 2025

APRIL - MAY 2025 What draws people to the library? Everything! From books and digital resources to job assistance and creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities. National Library Week, April 6–12, 2025, is a time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning. The first National Library Week was in 1958 with “Wake Up and Read!” Now all types of libraries - from public to school to academic - celebrate the contributions of libraries to our communities every April. Whether you're a longtime patron or haven’t visited in a while, now is the perfect time to explore all the library has to offer. Our library provides unique programming for all ages, free WiFi and Hotspots, special spaces for meeting, Tonies, and more, ensuring that everyone has access to resources that educate, inspire, and connect. Whatever draws you in, the library has something for everyone. Whether you’re preparing for a career change, launching a business, raising a family, or embracing retirement, Huron County Community Library is here to support your journey. Libraries serve as hubs for learning, creativity, and connection, helping people of all ages explore new ideas and opportunities. This National Library Week, take time to rediscover the library and see how it draws us together as a community. Whether you're visiting for books, resources, or a place to connect, HCCL is here for you. Jen Farrell, Branch Manager Willard Huron County Community Library is proud to be a Know Your Flow site! Know Your Flow is a campaign that helps people access menstrual health information and find free period products. We believe that, together, we can: ✨Raise awareness of period poverty and improve access to period products ✨Advance menstruation and menopause health information ✨Reduce the stigma associated with menstruation and menopause Interested in learning more?
