The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is the new law that requires everyone to get health insurance choices starting in October 2013. Making the correct healthcare choices requires an understanding of each person's or family's unique health & financial circumstances. Members of the Extension Library District of Huron County staff are not trained or licensed to provide advice or to assist you in selecting a specific health plan, but can provide information & direction to public resources about the ACA that will help you make your own choices. The ELDHC has computers available for our patrons to use to access the Marketplace, however, staff is prohibited from helping you in filling out forms.

Note for Apple iOS7 Users
Apple has released iOS 7 and many of our Apple users may have upgraded their device(s) or will be upgrading in the near future. For our patrons that are currently using OverDrive Media Console (OMC), when you upgrade to iOS 7, your OMC app may fail when trying to open an eBook. We are working to resolve this issue; in the meantime we do have some immediate remedies for our users. You can re-authenticate the app with your Adobe ID. You can uninstall and re-install OMC. This will require you to re-authorize your Adobe ID. Please note that a re-install will clear your user’s bookshelf, history, and app settings. New or first time users of OMC are unaffected by this issue. We will keep our users updated via Facebook and our webpage. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
Overdue Item ALERT!
A reminder that library users who return overdue items with an accumulated overdue fee of $25 or more have two weeks to pay, or make arrangements to pay, the fee before their account is automatically sent to Unique Management by the library’s computer system for collection.
