     The Willard Memorial Library location of the Huron County Community Library will offer a special

presentation on Tuesday, March 11 at 6 p.m. in the library community room.  “Women in History” will present a live storytelling production with Eleanor Roosevelt.  Come learn about the life and history of Eleanor Roosevelt in her own words. 

     Spring is coming!  Join the Willard Library at the Enrichment Center in Willard on Thursday, March 13 at 10 a.m.  Create your own seed bombs and bird suet.  This project will make a great addition for your back yard birds.

     The Willard Memorial Library will also offer a free Line Dancing Workshop at the Enrichment Center in Willard on Thursday, March 20 at 6 p.m.  Join the “Rockin Mommas” for a fun way to exercise.

     Our Dulcimer Class at our Willard location will take place on Wednesday, March 19 at 11 a.m. in the community room.  

     If you want to start writing, join the Willard Library “Writers’ Group” on Thursday, March 20 at 5 p.m.  To sign up, contact Josh at jfigley@huroncolib.org.

     “Tech Thursdays with Jarrad” are held every Thursday at 6:30 p.m.  Bring your computer questions to the Willard computer lab and get the help you need.

     The “Crochet Corner” with Terry will be held on March 14 and 25 at 11 a.m.   Come create with us and let Terry answer your questions.

     “Pinterest Monday” will be held on March 24 at 6 p.m.  Join us as we talk about plants and create your own plant holder.  Sign up is required.

     “Monday Reads” will meet on March 10 at 10 a.m. in the Willard community room.  They will discuss “When the World Didn’t End” by Guinevere Turner.  

     “Turn the Page” Willard’s evening book discussion will get together on Thursday, March 27 at 6 p.m. to share thoughts on “Starling House” by Alix E. Harrow.

     Join lively discussions and a bite to eat with Willard’s “Cook Up a Storm Cook book Club”.  This group will meet on Thursday March 6 at 6 p.m. and share recipes from “Pioneer Woman Cooks Super Easy” by Ree Drummond.

     Can’t get to the library to pick up your hold?  We now have lockers for hold pick up 24/7.  Stop by or call and talk to Terry for more information.

     “Manga Club” will meet at the Willard Memorial Library on Monday, March 10 and Monday, March 24 at 6 p.m.  If you love Manga, Teens, join Courtney twice a month to discuss a Manga Series and everything else Manga.

     Teen Time will be held on Thursday March 6 and 20 at 6 p.m.  On March 6 come and create a St. Patrick’s Day Painting.  Paint a rainbow and find a pot of gold.  On March 20, join Courtney to create geodes using foil, sugar, glue, and food coloring.

     Bring your little one on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. or Thursday, evenings at 6:30 p.m. for “Read to Me Storytime” with Miss Mitzi.  The theme on March 5 & 6 will be “The Colors of the Rainbow”, on March 12 & 13 it will be “We are Shamrocking it at Storytime”, on March 19 & 20 it will be “And then. . .it’s Spring”,  and on March 26 & 27 the theme will be “Oceans in Motion”.     

     Join us kids in the Willard Memorial Library Community Room on Tuesday, March 18 at 4:30 p.m. for “Wild about Birds”.  We will be using live cams and the Cornell Lab to learn about birds in Ohio.  We will do some bird related crafts.   You can paint a bird house, make and decorate jar for bird seed, and make a bird seed hanger for your yard.

     Brick Bunch meets every month in the Willard Community Room.  Come have some LEGO fun on Tuesday, March 11 at 4:30 p.m.

     Tonies and Tonieboxes are available for 14 day checkouts and you can place holds on the Tonies.  Tonies are available at the Willard and Greenwich locations.

     Start your child on the adventure of reading with 1000 books before kindergarten.  Stop by our youth services department for more information.  1000 Books before kindergarten is available at all HCCL locations.

     Join the Laurels of New London on Tuesday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. at our Wakemen Library location.  Have a morning of fun and learning with games, prizes, and speakers.  This is a valuable education and resource for all adults.  This monthly group will highlight a different resource and activity each month.

     Come join us at the Wakeman Library on Monday, March 31 at 5:30 p.m. for Pinterest Monday.  We  will talk about plants and you can create your own plant holder.  Sign up is required.  

     “Food for Thought Cookbook Club” will get together on Monday, March 3 at 6 p.m.  They will be sharing recipes from “Spend with Pennies, Everyday Comfort” by Holly Nilsson.  Drop by the circulation desk at the Wakeman library to get a book, then select a recipe to make and join us for a unique, delicious dinner.

     “Who Picked this Book?” Wakeman’s Book Club will meet on Monday, March 10 at 5:30 p.m. to share their thoughts on “The Frozen River” by Ariel Lawhon.

     Kids, drop in at our Wakeman library location from 3:30-6 p.m. on Thursdays for fun activities, crafts, and more.  Visit us on March 6, 13, 20, & 27.  Each week will feature something new.

     “Pop-in and Play” at the Wakeman Library on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 till noon.  Join us March 5, 12, 19, & 26.

     Cathy holds “Storytime” at the Wakeman Library on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m.  Join Cathy on March7, 14, 21,& 28 for stories, activities, and more.

     “Look What I Cooked – Kids’ Cookbook Club” is for homeschool families.  They will get together on Tuesday, March 4 at 12 p.m.  This month they will use the book “Dinner then Dessert: Satisfying Meals Using only 3, 5, or 7 Ingredients” by Sabrina Snyder.  

     Join us at our Greenwich Library location on Wednesday afternoons between 3-5 p.m. for an afternoon of fun.  On March 5 explore the wonder of building with magnetic tiles; on March 12 enjoy making and playing with some St. Patrick’s Day Slime; on March 19 join Becky as she does experiments with Skittles and on Wednesday, March 26 and Friday, March 28 come and make a colorful shamrock using salt, glue, and water colors.

     Chris will have stories, games, songs, crafts, and more on Friday morning for our Greenwich Library “Storytime”.  All ages are welcome to attend on March 14, 21, and 28 at 11 a.m.

     Get the little ones out of the house for a while on Tuesdays March 18 & 25 at 1 p.m.  Bring them to the Greenwich Library for our “Pop-in and Play”  We will be opening our toy cupboards for some fun new activities.  

     Pinterest Monday will be held at our Greenwich Library location on March 3 at 5:30 p.m.  Come join us as we talk plants and create your own macramé plant holder.

     Don’t forget our puzzle exchange at the Greenwich Library.  Drop off unwanted puzzles to exchange for a new one or just leave it for someone else.  The basket for the exchange is located between the two entrance doors of the library.  It’s the black crate under the table.

     Join local, North Fairfield resident, Anne Dapore as she shares tips and tricks for planning and maintaining a beautiful flower garden.  “Planning & Planting with Anne” will be held at the North Fairfield Library on Monday March 10 at 6 p.m.

     “Integrated Therapeutic” will be at our North Fairfield Library on Tuesday, March 18 at 11 a.m.  Come get moving with free Chair Yoga sessions.

     The “Senior Hour” at North Fairfield Library will be presented by Laurels of New London.  Come join us on Tuesday, March 4 at 11 a.m. for free fun and Bingo with prizes and discussions that relate to you.

     Our North Fairfield “Sit & Stitch group will meet on March 3, 10, 17, & 31.  Come enjoy some time with fellow stitchers & crafters.
