ANATOMY OF AN ALIBI

Camille wants out of her marriage. Her father has run this corner of Louisiana for years and her husband, Ben, is under his thumb and in cahoots with him and his shady deals. The only way Camille can gain her freedom is to find proof that Ben is guilty of nefarious acts, but that's going to be hard to do when he watches her like a hawk. Aubrey's parents were killed in a hit and run when she was a teenager. The man convicted of the crime has always maintained his innocence. He believes Ben knows more about that night than he lets on. When Aubrey and Camille cross paths, they both think that if they work together they might get what they want from Ben. But when Ben turns up dead, their collaboration takes on much more meaning. I was not impressed. The story is very convoluted with too many time frames and too many points of view. The characters all lack depth. This was a much-hyped book, but it just didn't do it for me.
