By her own admission, Sloane is a liar. Mostly just to make her pathetic life seem more interesting, but also because she can't help herself. When she "accidently" encounters undeniably handsome Jay in the park with his daughter, she tells him that she's a nurse and helps him get a stinger out of his little girl's foot. And then she starts reeling them in. She meets his wife, Violet, and ingratiates herself into a nanny job. As the two women grow closer, Sloane even starts trying to look like Violet, which is a risky undertaking after what happened the last time. But Violet takes it all in stride and Sloane is thrilled that everything is going as planned. But who's really being played here? An engaging little page-turner that should have no problem holding your interest. It's well thought out and only a little beyond the realm of possibility. A home run of a debut.
