It's the summer of 1976 and Tom and Alice are heading out across Canada in their new RV headed for the Olympics in Montreal. They hope the trip is not just a vacation, but a catharsis for a recent family tragedy. They meet up with a young couple hitchhiking and invite them to share their campsite. Soon, they're offering them a ride. Alice isn't sure she's comfortable with this at first, but everything seems to be going fine. And then Alice sees a newspaper headline about a young couple wanted for murder. The picture shows Simon and Jenny, the duo currently sharing their RV. When the fugitives realize they've been found out, the situation turns ugly and Alice finds herself faced with a situation she could never have imagined. For the most part this was OK. The story barrels along at a fast pace, keeping up the suspense. But then towards the end, it gets predictable and everything just wraps up a little too neatly.
